Koidl to become Steinbrück advisor

Berlin (AFP 19 Nov. 2012) Austrian writer, businessman and patron of the arts Roman Maria Koidl is reported to have joined SPD chancellor candidate Peer Steinbrück’s campaign team. Koidl shall advise Steinbrück with regard to online activities and has already moved to an office at the SPD headquarters, according to “Die Welt” (Tuesday’s edition). Born in 1967, Koidl trained to be a journalist and initially worked for a radio station before moving on to the business world in 1990. He is the founder of the “World Coffee” coffee shop chain, and acquired the insolvent chocolate manufacturer “Most” in order to reposition the brand in the market.
